Tanth House, Sundarijal: Located on the hills of Shivapuri, the name Sundarijal (beautiful water) suggests the location demands a beautiful house. I was excited to follow the clients brief, carefully organized, took overall in-charge of building the house lifted from the ground. In order to marry not just the aesthetic appeals of best of both (traditional and modern architecture), I enjoyed and often went into the pains behind combining construction technology to integrate traditional floor system known as liun in an earthquake resistant concrete frame structure. The design also considers the logistical challenges during the project implementation since the site is connected by off-road on a steep slope and most arduously 50meter disconnected from the road, roof truss design for example was done in a way that the metal frames can be carried on by human back and using simple pully to lift up to the building.
